Summer Shows!

Switched at Birth is my favorite summer show! I didn't really think it would be that great. However, it's amazing. I can't believe how great it is. I can't believe how badly I want Bay and Emmett together. The season finale is next week. I'm so excited.

The Nine Lives of Chloe King - Everytime someone on a TV Show develops super powers on their 16th birthday I realize how lame my 16th birthday in Hawaii actually was. Plus she has a totally hot handler. On the downside if she kisses a human she kills them. That majorily sucks. But her handler who is also a freaky cat creature too is hot. She needs to just hook up with him.

Pretty Little Liars - They got a new Jason. He still can't act very well, but he is way hotter than the other Jason and he has chemistry with Aria.

Awkward - So awkward! What's awkward is Nikki Deloach is playing the mom of a teenager. Seriously, can we stop this insanity!

This is that blog where I tell you how much I suck at blogging lately. Sorry! I feel like anyone who actually cares about my blog already knows to just find me on twitter. You should do that soon because I've been debating about making my profile private.

This would terrify my mother because since she is not officially signed up and just reads my feed to see if I'm alive or dead. I try to post a tweet a day so she knows I'm alive. I'm a good daughter.

And since you took the time to come to my blog, your prize is the edited version of the movie Bail Out in about 2 minutes. It stars David Hasselhof as a character named White Bread. Obviously it's amazing! Do I need to say more?

I love listening to the commentaries on DVDs and watching behind the scenes of how things are made. I always find it fascinating. But sometimes it can ruin things I'm in love with.

For example I went to the Plain White T's concert and they discussed how they wrote came up with their songs.

This cute adorable song:

Is about one night stands. Okay so he said it much nicer but that was the basic gist.

Then they sang "Last Breath" and he explained that it was written for the same girl that he wrote the really cute, romantic song 1,2,3,4 for. UMMMM... "Last Breath" wrecks all the cuteness of 1,2,3,4!

Recently I came to the realization that if I was around in the 70s as an adult I would’ve been a hippie. This disturbed me to no end. I like to bathe and if I could ban one scent from the earth it would be patchouli. It is wretched! I never understood how people wear that stuff without vomiting on themselves.

But I have become really concerned about that the things I purchase are not made by slaves. A teeny tiny amount of clothing companies are actually becoming fair trade certified. One in England is People Tree.

This is why I need to marry a guy from England. So his family can hook me up with cute fair trade clothes.

There is an American brand called Tompkins Point that sells clothes but it’s for men.

So I may start dressing like Shiloh Pitt soon.

A real life fairytale

I love reading gossip. However, I like the gossip to be happy and non-trashy. For instance, I was super excited about Prince William and Kate Middleton getting engaged. I was not enjoying the whole story about how they met though.
According the tabloids, she caught William’s eye when she modeled a see-through dress for a charity fashion show at college. Well minus the charity part, that just sounds so trashy and not at all like a fairy tale.

What future princess parades around in her underwear? The kind that was TRICKED! At least that is how my new story plays out. A totally jealous girl gave her the see-through dress to model unbeknownst to Kate. Once she was on the runway and the lights were on her, her underwear was in full view. Prince William being the gentleman he is offered his coat. The rest is history.

Okay so maybe that makes me a prude or something but I kind of don’t care. I prefer my Disney version. Even though I’m sure I’m totally wrong.

I am super duper disapointed in the new shows this season. I had so many high hopes. I have stoped watching almost every new series except for two shows.

Raising Hope - So hilarious and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy at the end.

Nikita - This has become what I wanted Undercovers to be. It's not quite Alias but it's fun and a whole heck of a lot better than Undercovers. Poor Undercovers. I so wanted you to be better.

Oh yeah and it has brought us Devon Sawa. Hello!

The question is why am I up so early on a Saturday? That would be because I am PARANOID. I got a text message on my iphone last night before I settled in for an evening showing of You Again. But this wasn't any text message, it was from "Ali". I don't have an Ali in my phone. The text message also didn't go to the text message area. When I pushed "close" because I was suspicious, my phone went all trippy like The Ring. So I turned it off.

Well this morning I got a phone call on my regular phone at 6 a.m. from some screaming pastor telling me to go to church. I am now convinced my phone has been hacked! I don't even know if it is possible. I keep googling and it says it is possible but I can't find anyone verifying that this has happened to them.

And it's too early to go to the Apple store and freak out and let them charge me lots of money to verify that I'm paranoid. (*fingers crossed*)

Don't be a Jules!

I thought it was interesting that two comedies dealt with women and clinginess in the premier episodes.

In one corner we had Jules from Cougar Town whose boyfriend Grayson wanted to take a day of from her. She took this personally and dragged him to her therapist. Her best friend had to intervene and made her stay away from Grayson for 24 hours declaring that he had to come back from her on his own. But the whole time Jules was distraught and missed Grayson. Grayson eventually caves before the 24 hours is up and comes back to a delighted Jules.

Then we have Liz Lemon from 30 Rock. Her new boyfriend Carol is pilot and when he comes to town two times a month he stays at a Starwood Hotel which works perfectly for her. Jack does not think this is grown up relationship and throws a monkey wrench in her perfection causing Liz and Carol to cohabitate which cramps Liz’s style. She would prefer to have a relationship like the Barefoot Contessa and her husband have. Ina has dinner parties with her gay friends during the week and then Jeffrey comes home on the weekends. At the end Liz does realize she would rather have a grown up relationship than be alone for the rest of her life.
The difference in these two plots, one was written by a woman and one was written by a man. Yes! Jules being a clingy mess was written by a man. Granted, I am sure there are few women that are like Jules. But I am willing to place bets that the majority of women are more like Liz. In fact, I think the women like Jules are those girls who probably hop from one relationship to another and have a problem being single. They just have issues.
Jules clearly had issues because she stated that she owned six movies and two were workout videos.

Red Dawn

Apparently I have been living under a rock! I thought I had seen all of the great 80’s movies of our time. But I missed one of the best ones; RED DAWN.

I have no idea how this happened. It stars Charlie Sheen, Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, Leah Thompson, and C. Thomas Howell. The plot? Communist take over America and a rag tag group of high schoolers run to the mountains and plan an attack against the enemy. They name themselves Wolverines after their high school football team.

The most realistic plot ever!

Avenge Me!! Avenge Me!!

But how did I miss a movie that put Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze together before Dirty Dancing?

A movie that put the Socs and the Greasers together fighting commies? But at least I watched it before the remake comes out. Which better come out! I'm looking at you MGM!

I am in love with Enrique Iglesias's new song "I Like It." It makes me want to cheat on my boyfriend with him. I'm kidding...I don't have a boyfriend.

But it is the perfect summer song. It has officially dethroned Katy Perry's California Girls as my summer song this year. Every year I like to have a song that makes me feel like it's summer.

Plus Enrique is very nice to look at. Although my friend had to make the comment that he has "Justin Bieber hair" in the video. I wanted to smack her. Sorry, if she had to ruin his hotness for me then I'm going to ruin it for you.

Who am I kidding? Justin Bieber hair or not, I LIKE IT!!!

Have you heard about the SyFy movie that is going to star Debbie Gibson and Tiffany? This is no joke! It could be the best movie on the planet. The title of this Academy Award winning masterpiece, "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid."

WHAT UP!

It is going to be EPIC!!

Here is the plot:

Gibson will play a fanatical animal-rights activist who frees illegally imported exotic snakes from pet stores, sending them into the Everglades, where they grow to mega sizes. Tiffany will play an overzealous park ranger who uses dangerous methods to save endangered alligators.

In the script, the pair brawl at a party, then take matters outside into the swamp.

I had no plans to watch the World Cup! I merely turned on the TV Saturday while I was eating when I got sucked into the US vs. England madness. I must admit though that one of the reasons I continued watching besides the fact that I kept screaming at the players was this little hottie.

Carlos Bocanegra just rolls off the tongue. My cousin's husband went to school with him which made me giddy. Cause that means I'm going to meet him while he's playing all the way in France? A girl can dream, can't she!

Then MSN had an article on World Cup Guy Candy. HELLO!!! This is Benny Feilhaber.

Apparently he stars in shirtless youtube videos? That is what I heard. So being the diligent researcher that I am, I found this alleged video. It is him lip-synching to Jordin Sparks "No Air". And yes, ladies he is shirtless.

I admit I am a little slow. I heard of the rapper Drake and I knew he was blowing up. But I didn’t connect WHO he was.
It wasn’t until a few months ago I was at the movie theatre with my friend and they had a Sprite commercial on before the movie.

I turned to my friend and I said, “Oh that’s cute! That’s the kid from Degrassi. He rapped in the show. I wonder if he’s making an album?”

She then looked at me as if I grew a second head, “Ummm…that’s Drake!”

I looked at her confused, “No, I’m pretty sure his name is Aubrey Graham.”

“Yeah, but he goes by Drake,” she informed me.

Suddenly it all made sense. That is why Rhianna dated him briefly. I mean she was dating Drake not some actor from a Canadian teen soap opera. No offense, Aubrey!

But no matter how dope his rhymes are, I will always think of him as Jimmy from Degrassi. This particular scene is burned into my brain. It’s probably the most famous Degrassi scene ever! The school shooting. They beat One Tree Hill! Degrassi went there.

Birthday Wishes!

My birthday is less than a month away! Now what I truly would love is for the whole oil spill mess to be cleaned up so that the ocean and the fish and birds are healthy and alive. But since the dunderheads apparently won’t listen to the amazing James Cameron we have a mess still.

So instead here are some more practical things:

1. The girls hair from Pretty Little Liars:

They all have fabulous hair so I don’t care which one.

2. Robot from Avatar

I know everyone was all about the blue people but I wanted a ROBOT! They were awesome. I want to take it to work and swat all the traffic out of my way.

3. Porch swing….

Oh and a porch. Preferably on the beach!

4. To be best friends with Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Mindy Kaling.

We are all fabulous and hilarious. It’s obvious we should all be friends. I really need to get on Community as a girl who wants to be Abed’s new sidekick and me and Troy could fight for his attention. Then we could all have our shows on the same night.

5. Raylon Gibbons / Timothy Olyphant

I don’t really know if he’s married. But he has the most perfect teeth on the planet and I could stare at him all day long. I’d also prefer him to wear the Justified hat.

Picking out my new favorite show!

Since Lost is ending, I'm going to need a new favorite show. Something that I look forward to every week. A show that is so incredibly awesome that I can't wait until the next day to watch it. A show that is so good, I bug all my friends to watch so that I have something to talk about with them.

Here are the contenders:

#1 Undercovers: Written by JJ Abrams. He wrote my other favorite show Alias. This looks similar and how hot are the main actors?

#2 The Event: OMG! I'm already totally excited for this show based on the preview. I hope it doesn't turn into Flashforward which had promise but turned into a dud.

#3 Happy Endings: This looks hilarious! Okay so I don't think it will take over the mystery of Lost but it does look like it will bring a smile to my face like Lost does.

Is TMZ slipping? I realize that Hilarie Burton hasn't been on One Tree Hill for like a year and has been out of the spotlight. But how did they miss that she was dating Jeffrey Dean Morgan? Not only did they not know she was dating Jeffrey Dean Morgan, they didn't know that she had his BABY!!! WHAT?

We not only find out they have been dating for a year but she had a baby. No, she's not pregnant. She already had the child. They have a baby boy...together? I'm sorry, I'm still in shock!

I'm also in shock over the fact that Zachary Levi, my pretend boyfriend, SINGS! And he's good! He sings a duet with Katherine McPhee called Terrified. Well there is no need to be terrified of how it sounds because I'm now more obsessed with him than ever. He is so cute and he sings!

He plays a pretend spy on Chuck, he seems totally nice, and now he sings. He's the ideal pretend boyfriend.

Food on a Stick!

Eating healthy is getting really boring. Reading ingredients is also tiring. I sometimes wish that my diet was something simple, like I can only eat food that comes on a stick.

Breakfast I could eat a Cinnamon Roll on a stick!

Let’s say for Lunch I’m feeling like I want some sushi. Voila!

Of course there are those TV shows that everyone misses but what about the characters? I miss Gilmore Girls. But now Lauren Graham is on Parenthood and Alexis Bledel is in the movies. But where is Liza Weil? She was hysterical as Paris!

Paris: She's got a C average which means she's either lazy or stupid. I can work with either. Frankly sometimes stupid is easier. I can scare the stupid out of you, but the lazy runs deep.

Frankly I don’t understand why Ellen Muth is not working? She was the star of Dead Like Me. I loved that show to pieces even though I totally saw it after it was cancelled. But it just proves to me even more that Bryan Fuller is a genius and I love his characters and his casting. Georgia Lass was my favorite dead girl!

George: Life sucks, and then you die--and then it still sucks.

I realize that technically Ugly Betty just got cancelled. But Becki Newton was snatched up for a pilot. I don’t understand why someone is not snatching up Michael Urie? He can make me laugh, cry and want to smack him all in the same episode.

Marc: "By the way, when we move into Daniel's office I'm not sitting on Betty's old chair... 'Cause this bum don't slum."

Book 'em Dano

Besides TV, I am OBSESSED with books! I am in fact looking for two new bookshelves in order to fit my current books and more books.

Yes, I am a girl therefore I love Pride and Prejudice. I have not read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, yet. But the prequel Dawn of the Dreadfuls has a trailer for their book. They have me completely sold. I want to read the books. I want to watch the movie if they make one. I want to have five daughters who will train and kill zombies.

I know everyone is excited for Sex and the City 2 but I am nervous that they are just going to wreck everything all over again. But I am excited for The Carrie Diaries.

Okay so there is no Samantha, Charlotte or Miranda. At least there isn't in the excerpt I read on Harper Teen's Website. But it is Carrie before she ever had sex or lived in the city. Plus the best part is that it's her in the 80's. So far there are references to Leif Garrett and ZZ Top. Okay, okay so it's not the greatest from what I've read so far. It seems like the typical teen fiction but I still want to read it, just like I will still watch Sex and the City 2.

Another book I'm excited about hasn't even been written yet. It's Mindy Kaling's book "The Contents of My Purse." According to her it will be, “essays and personal anecdotes, pictures, fashion, and general opinionated bossiness about how women should live” and “about being over 30 and settling. ‘Find the Right in Mr. Wrong.’”

Get writing Mindy, I can't wait to add it to my GoodReads "To Read List."

Last Day on Earth Party!

When: 12-21-2012 (THE END OF THE WORLD!!! MWAAAHH)
Where: Tom Sawyers Island - Disneyland (I'm hoping! I have about 2 years to become really-super-mondo rich!) Seriously check out that dance floor space! And it has hidden tunnels and we can pretend we are on the only area of land ala Waterworld.

Why: Cause when is the next time we will be warned about the end of the world by an ancient civilization?

Details: Dress as your favorite post apocalyptic character. I am dressing as Ultraviolet, so no one can steal my idea. Feel free to take Tina Turner from Mad Max.

I really just want to carry a sword. Do they allow swords at Disneyland? Probably doesn't matter since the world is ending and all.

Food: All the food will be foods you have to eat with your hands because utensils are usually scarce post apocalypse. We will have Turkey legs, canned foods, Hostess Snowballs (sorry there are apparently aren't any Twinkies after the zombies take over) and red vines. Okay, I have never seen red vines in films, but I think they would hold up very well and I like them.

Start working out now though because if you want a churro, you will have to battle for one in the THUNDERDOME!

I can’t stop torturing myself by googling food. Food that I can’t have. Food that may or may not trigger a killer migraine. I HATE MY LIFE! So what do I do? I keep on googling and now I’m going to post some of the yummy goodness for you.

Haagen-daz Five has a new flavor Lemon! I love SOUR! But my stupid diet says no – no to citrus!

And since I’ve been doing the cleanse sweets and gluten are OUT! And I am a huge fan of carrot cake. I just came across these carrot cake cookies.

Of course it’s a Martha Stewart recipe!

I haven’t had chocolate in like 6 years. What I miss the most are brownies. The best brownie I ever had was at the Emerybay Public Market. It was a cream cheese brownie. My mom and I were in line for dessert. The lady in front of us ordered one, took a bite and literally started moaning. We did what any logical person would do, we said, “We’ll have what she’s having!”

Have I mentioned that I hate my life?

I need a gimmick!

So apparently non-fiction is where it is at. Look at Eat Pray Love, that chick got to travel the world, fell in love and whine about all while getting paid and published. Now it’s being made into a film starring Julia Roberts which I will go see even though I felt luke warm about the book.

Why? Because that is how good they are.

Now I want to read The Happiness Project. According to the site it’s a memoir of a year the author spent test-driving the wisdom of the ages, the current scientific studies, and the lessons from popular culture about how to be happy--from Aristotle to Martin Seligman to Thoreau to Oprah. Then she just wrote what happened. But it’s a best seller. And of course I want to read it. Because I want to be happy too!

But there are tons of books like these on the Barnes and Nobles table. To name a few: Living Oprah: My One-Year Experiment to Walk the Walk of the Queen of Talk; A Year Without "Made in China": One Family's True Life Adventure in the Global Economy; The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible.

They all just pick a gimmick and do it for a year. I mean HELLO – Julie and Julia!

So I am looking for a gimmick. Something that doesn’t involve me camping or doing anything too outdoorsy. Preferably something that will end up with me ending with a published book, a movie deal and that movie starring:

Playing ME! Cause we are like IDENTICAL! And of course she should have her original accent.

What three things don't go together but I'm in love with?

I noticed this in our fridge the other day. It's Bitch Bubbly. Apparently the wine has aromas of ripe strawberries, cranberries, rose petals and rhubarb. I think the name is hilarious and perfect for Girls Nights or Bachelorette Parties. The marketers probably did too.

We all love Tina Fey and we all love Liz Lemon. If you don't, get off my blog! So it makes perfect sense that people would try to market her one liners from 30 Rock on Cafe Press. And it makes perfect sense that I would be so tempted to buy them.

This song, Be My Only, is my new OBSESSION! If you watch Ugly Betty, it is the song Hilda and Bobby walked down the aisle to. It's by FM Radio (Tim Meyer and Schuyler Fisk). iTunes needs to seriously step it up and get it on immediately because I keep playing it off youtube constantly!

Well I guess they could go together? You could totally wear the Liz Lemon t-shirt while drinking the Bitch Bubbly straight out of the bottle while listening to the FM Radio song on repeat. Sounds like my kind of night!

I can't stop the cravings!

It is suppose to be spring and one of the reasons I moved to So Cal was because of the weather. So why on earth is it overcast and dreary? JUST STOP!

I am craving sunshine! I am craving the beach! I am craving lots of things!

The top of my list is Letters to Juliet. I don't care that the trailer tells us the whole entire movie. It takes place in Italy and that is one place I am craving to go. Since I can't afford a plane ticket, I will have to settle for this film. Plus Christopher Egan has that flawless skin, nice lips and charming accent that pretty much make you want to go bang your head against a wall because you realize any character he plays is pure fiction.

Sadly it is not out until May. Although I have to wait even longer for Meg Cabot's latest book Insatiable which won't come out until June. I got to read the first 3 chapters. It is a Vampire book but it's a twist on Bram Stokers and it seems AMAZING. Of course it's going to be since it's Meg Cabot. I adore her and her books.

More importantly I can't stop thinking about FOOD! I have been doing a cleanse and then I'm going to reintroduce foods back into my diet in hopes of finding what is triggering my migraines. This is making me CRAZY. I keep googling FOOD! Donuts and Churros specifically. I found this amazing Churro place in West Hollywood called Xooro. Well I don't know if it is amazing or not? But it looks amazing. They even have a maple bacon churro (actually they call them Spanish Fritters).

But alas, I can't even eat one for like a month until I'm done figuring out what the heck is triggering my migraines. But if I can't figure it out, then all bets are off. I am eating every single one of these!

When I was a youth leader we once asked the youth what decade they would like to live in. One of the girl's responded, "I wish I lived in the 80's. I wasn't around then."

I then smacked her over her head with my purse and died of a heart attack.

Okay so I'm old and lived through the ENTIRE 80's. Granted I was a child but still. Anytime I'm reminded that people exist that weren't around during this awesome decade, I think "Go see Hot Tub Time Machine!"

Cherry 7 Up
Sure it was cool in pink! And it was refreshing but the best part was the commercial. Joey Tribiani when he was HOT! How you doing?

Then there was the fashion. This is the outfit I wanted more than anything else. I thought if I had it I would be rad!

Sadly though I wasn't old enough to own leather, I had to settle for plastic or as we called them jellies.

My roommate and I were just standing downstairs are apartment when the power went out. Normally, it would be annoying but not too big of a deal. However, it is Tuesday night and the time was 8:45pm.

Yep, Lost was about to be on in 15 minutes. I had a total freak out. I tried to remain calm. Thankfully it is back on.

So now I’m going to watch it and eat some ice cream. Hopefully we learn some important information. Like how Richard Alpert has such gorgeous eyelashes.

Pilot Season is like Christmas! - NBC & ABC

I love this time of year because this is when all of the pilots start getting announced for the fall season. Of course not all of them end up getting picked up but it still makes me excited to see which of my favorite or soon to be favorite actors are cast in these shows.

For example, I had never heard of my future pretend boyfriend Boris Kodjoe before until he was cast as the lead in my favorite pilot of the 2010 fall season Undercovers. But can you see one of the reason's I'm excited for this show? The man is HOT! Also the show is written by my favorite writer JJ Abrams and it basically sounds like Alias 2.0. So I'm ALL ABOUT IT!

Here is a list of the pilots for ABC & NBC 2010 / 2011 with my thoughts:

Purple = I want to see it! Green = Good Actors & or Writers so Maybe. Orange = May give one episode a shot to see how it is.

ABC

Dramas

187 Detroit (writer Jason Richman). A light-hearted look at Detroit’s top homicide division.
Body of Evidence (Chris Murphey). A procedural about a female medical examiner who used to work as a neurosurgeon.
Cutthroat (Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters). A dramedy about a single mother who operates an international drug cartel from Beverly Hills.
Roselyn Sanchez was just attached as the lead. If her husband Eric Winters ever agrees to appear I'm so watching! But seriously it sounds like Weeds but hardcore.

Edgar Floats (Rand Ravich). A police psychologist becomes a bounty hunter.

Generation Y (Noah Hawley). A documentary-style dramedy that tracks a group of former high school classmates over the last decade.

Matadors (Jack Orman). A drama focusing on two long-feuding families in Chicago that stars David Strathairn (The Bourne Ultimatum).

David Strathairn pretty much rocks and the title is cool but I need to see something. The logline is LAME. I also believe Zach Gilford is now attached. I now love him since finding him completely adorable in Post Grad. I know all you FNL fans have been telling me this forever.

No Ordinary Family (Jon Feldman, Greg Berlanti). A family of superheroes that stars Michael Chiklis (The Shield).

Greg Berlanti plus a family of Superheroes. Autumn Reeser(Taylor, The OC) is also signed on. It could be a total win!
Off the Map (Jenna Bans, Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers). Shot in Puerto Rico, the drama focuses on three doctors who leave the mainland to work at an isolated tropical clinic.
Okay so Shonda Rhimes being attached makes me want to chuck this. However, being shot in Puerto Rico makes me want to watch. And you know it is going to have soapy drama and good looking people. UGH! I already hate myself for watching!

The Whole Truth (Tom Donaghy, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman). Legal drama that provides perspective from the defendant/prosecution prosecution perspective until a verdict is reached.

True Blue (Jon Feldman and Chris Brancato). Homicide detectives in San Francisco reunite to solve the murder of a former co-worker. Cast includes Poppy Montgomery (Without a Trace).

Untitled Richard Hatem project. Focuses on a (hot) female detective team.

Awkward Situations for Men (Jeff Filgo & Jackie Filgo). Inspired by the Danny Wallace book of the same name, the series focuses on a British on-air personality who moves to America and clashes with local customs. Cast includes Wallace and Laura Prepon (That ’70s Show).

Freshmen (Greg Malins, Arianna Huffington). A multi-camera sitcom about three first-year members of Congress that stars Sarah Chalke (Scrubs).

How to Be A Better American (Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley). A single-camera comedy about a father who attempts to improve his life and the lives of his (not-so-amenable) family.

It Takes a Village (Casey Johnson & David Windsor). A single-camera comedy about two exes and their partners who come together to raise a 15-year-old boy.
Is it their 15 year old boy? I'm confused already?

Mr. Sunshine (Matthew Perry, Alex Barnow, Mark Firek). Perry (Friends) stars as a self-absorbed manager of a sports arena. Cast also includes Allison Janney (The West Wing) and Andrea Anders (Better Off Ted).

I have missed Chandler and CJ.

Untitled Couples Project (Shana Goldberg-Meehan). A multi-camera sitcom about two sisters in different stages of their romantic relationships. Cast includes Joanna Garcia (Privileged).
I adore Joanna Garcia, so I’m in!
Untitled Dana Gould Project. A multi-camera comedy about a high school guidance counselor. Cast includes Gould and Brian Dennehy (Cocoon).

I believe this has already been canceled before it’s been made.

The Event (Nick Wauters) A thriller about a regular Joe caught up in a large conspiracy.

Undercovers (JJ Abrams, Josh Reims). A couple is pulled out of retirement to rejoin the CIA.

See what I mean? It totally sounds like Sydney and Vaughn. They even have a character that sounds like Marshall. But if you didn't like Alias..you should give it a chance because please see the above picture. The wife is also very attractive.

Love Bites (Cindy Chupack). An hour-long romantic comedy.

Becki Newton just became attached as one of the leeds. Cindy Chupack used to write for Sex and the City. It could all go terribly wrong. But Becki had 11 offers and she chose this one. So I'm going to hope that she chose wisely.
Rockford Files (David Shore). A reboot of the ’70s private eye drama.

This could all depend on who they cast as Rockford. Somebody mentioned Josh Holloway aka Sawyer. They need to get a casting person on him right away.

Prime Suspect (Hank Steinberg). A redux of the BBC series of the same name that follows a female detective.

This also has been canceled since they couldn't cast the female lead. No one can top Helen Mirren. Especially since Glen Close is on Damages.

Kindreds (Dave E. Kelley). A drama about an ex-patent lawyer and his group of associates who come together to form an unusual law practice.

I tend to like David E. Kelley shows so I will probably give this a shot.

Untitled John Eisendrath project. An ex-justice tries to change the law.

The Cape (Tom Wheeler). A former cop who was frame decides to don a superhero uniform to clear his name.
I keep hearing the Greatest American Hero theme song.\

Comedies
Untitled Adam Carolla Project (Jon Pollack, Kevin Hench, Adam Carolla, Jimmy Kimmel). A single-camera comedy starring Carolla as a contractor who attempts to rebuild his life after a divorce.

I know a few of my friends who will be watching this one.
Perfect Couples (Scott Silveri, Jon Pollack). A single-camera romantic comedy that focuses on three different couples in various stages of total bliss.

It seems like their are a million of these shows this season.
Outsourced (Robert Borden, Ken Kwapis). A single-camera office comedy about a novelties company employee who moves to India to manage a group of customer reps.

I am digging office comedies lately so I will probably give this a chance.

Friends with Benefits (Scott Neustadtler, Michael H. Weber). A single-camera comedy about five friends who are on the lookout for perfect mates but willing to temporarily settle on friends with benefits.

The Strip (Tom Lennon, Ben Garant). A multi-camera comedy about a former child star who owns a bar outside of Las Vegas.

This Little Piggy (Stephen Cragg, Brian Bradley). A multi-camera family comedy about father of two who opens up his home to his irresponsible sister and shallow brother.

The Pink House (Rick Wiener, Kenny Schwartz). A multi-camera comedy about college graduates who flee Los Angeles to start a life elsewhere.

Beach Lane (Paul Simms). A multi-camera comedy starring Matthew Broderick as a celebrity author hired by a Richie Rich to run a small town newspaper in the Hamptons.

Maybe? The Hamptons / Celebrity Author portion has me slightly intrigued.

Nathan vs. Nurture (Moses Port, David Guarascio). A multi-camera comedy about a heart surgeon who reunites with his birth father and brothers, many, many years after his adoption.

Jay Harrington was cast as Nathan which I guess means Better off Ted is canceled.

After I watch a movie one of my favorite things to do is go to IMDB.com. I love reading the trivia and goofs. But I especially love reading the message boards and what all the crazy people have to say about the movie. Most of the time they infuriate me.

For example after watching 500 Days of Summer which I loved. I found this fantastic note on the message board:

My friend introduced me to the group Boys Like Girls and put their latest song on mixed cd for me. It's called Two is Better Than One and features Taylor Swift. Only everytime I get in the car I put it on THAT song. It's number 10 on my CD. I play it and then usually I will play it again. I LOVE IT! If it was a tape, it'd be worn out.

There is another song that I don't even want to admit liking because first of all I dislike the singer and the song is called Sexy Chick. But when the song comes on the radio, I can't help dancing and singing along in the car. Wednesday I was fairly upset that Glee wasn't on so I twittered about it...

Glee isn't on? I need a mr shu fix I don't care what @tracyado and @karenkov think. I lov his singing and dancing. Puck isn't bad either.

Yes...Tracy and Karen don't seem to share my same appreciation for Mr. Schu. I have a total crush on the character Will Schuester.

The jury is still out on Matthew Morrison... (he would be the actor who plays him for those of you who are slow).

But I still freaked out when I got tweeted response from Mister Schu.

Weekly TV Round Up – New Show Edition

Flashforward is officially my favorite new show of the season. Why hasn’t Joseph Fiennes gotten more work? If Penny isn’t on Lost then I’m happy she’s on this show. Same with Charlie. The future previews look amazing. This show is going to be awesome. Although I really hope they don’t kill off John Cho’s character.

Vampire Diaries started off strong. But the last episode with Stefan trying out for football sort of bored me. I don’t understand how Damon can keep feeding on all these girls and the girls aren’t turning and nothing seems to be happening to them? I want some repercussions. And I’m glad I don’t live in this town, everyone is freaking gorgeous.

Modern Family was freaking hilarious. I loved it. I loved when Julie Bowen’s family was scheduling when to shoot their son with the BB gun as punishment. I also adored when the gay couple presented their baby daughter to the music from the Lion King.

Cougar Town has promise. Courtney Cox is perfect in the role. I don’t care how many times I saw the clip of her telling the young guy her C-section scar was a knife wound I still laughed every single time.

Melrose Place is about to be removed from my tivo. I love Kostos but dude him and his fiancé are boring. I only like the story with the doctor who is pimping herself out for money for school. Ashley Simpson’s character is just creepy enough to be sort of interesting but it’s still not that intriguing.

Some people aren’t crazy about Glee. But I think the Accafella’s episode was my favorite. They sang Poison and I Want to Sex You Up, plus Josh Groban guest starred. I still love the music. Plus the teacher is such a hottie. I think that officially means I’m old when I’m more interested in the adult storyline.

Community is so getting season passed on my TIVO. I’m totally in love with the character Abed. I want to be his best friend. He quotes The Breakfast Club, he said “spoiler alert” regarding an actual news story. I want him to be real. Plus, Joel McHale is totally hot in this show. Don’t judge me!

It is no wonder Trauma is the most expensive pilot. Did you see those helicopters crash into each other in the first 5 minutes? Not only that a tanker blows up not more than 15 minutes later. How are they going to keep topping themselves?

Emmy's Schemmys

Usually, I am super excited for the Emmy’s. However, today I actually almost forgot they were even on. I have forgotten who was nominated. I was watching the red carpet in order to psych myself up for the show. But it’s not really working.

I did get mildly excited when Ryan began interviewing John Krasinski. Only, then Ryan asked him about his engagement which reminded me of the whole debacle and depressed me all over again.

I still have a few hours to get excited again but who’s nominated?

Damages needs to win that’s all I know!

When does Season 3 start? I’m ready!

Office Redecorating

I share a tiny office with two other people. There is nothing except two white boards and a cork board on the walls. It's a very generic, boring office. So when a coworker left a few months back, I raided his posters and stole one Mr. Tommy Lee Jones.

I am sure he is a very nice man. But having him stare at you every day isn't my first choice. So a nice coworker offered to get us a replacement poster. She offered us 21 or Julie and Julia. We picked 21 because we have a male coworker.

Okay that is a total lie. We picked 21 because of Jim Sturgess.

In fact I believe my exact question to her was, "How prominent is Jim Sturgess on the poster?"

She did not know the appeal of Jim, nor did our male coworker. I told him to hush up and be happy that Kate Bosworth was on the poster too. (Nicely of course.)

The problem is, Mr. Jones is glued and taped into that frame pretty well. So tomorrow I'm taking my tool box kit to work. We need something to brighten our office up. And I think Jim is just the ticket.

Ben Affleck + Cheese = Two of my favorite things

I drove by the billboard for the new movie EXTRACT. I am not sure how many times I drove by before I realized, "Hey...that's Ben Affleck."

Ben is one of my favorite actors. I know everyone gives him a hard time and doubts his acting. I think it mainly has to do with his previous movie choices like the one below. I haven't seen Pearl Harbor in awhile and I actually forgot that both he and Josh used accents.

The genius of the scene is around the 3 minute mark. That is when the tears begin. Or the snickers...which ever you prefer.

I didn't know him but I seriously almost started to cry when my friend announced at work that John Hughes had died today.

I don't think it's an understatement to say he was one of the biggest influences on my life. I believe my love of the teen genre stems from my love of his films.

I look forward to the "Breakfast Club" episode on TV Shows. I don't care how many times they use it, it gets me every time. Locked in a room with people totally different then you, causing a ruckus. GENIUS!

And when Miley on Hannah Montana had to choose between the bad boy in her band or her first love Jake Ryan? Of course I wanted her to choose Jake. If only because he shares the name with the hottest teenager of all teen movies. No one can compare to Sixteen Candles Jake Ryan, he is by far the dreamiest teenage boyfriend EVER.

And hasn't Alan Ruck become a pop culture joke on shows. I love him as the Dean on Greek. I mean he is Cameron Frye. Just seeing him on any show playing a parent makes me realize, "WOW! I'm OLD!"

John Hughes was a dude yet he totally got teenage girl angst like no other. Plus he was hilarious. I only wish he had actually put out some more commentaries on his films.

When I shared with my friends Danie and Jackie about his passing Danie said:

"Can you believe Addette has never seen the Breakfast Club? When she got her citizenship it should have been a requirement that she watch all John Hughes movies!"

I agree! Forget all that US History, just make them watch the classics. They can start with this one:

A Magical Evening

I went to the Magic Castle. I'm not bragging or anything but you have to be invited in order to go. Okay...so I am bragging. It was pretty awesome. There were rabbits pulled out of hats, card tricks, bowling balls appearing from drawings. Yes, it was amazing!

Mostly though I was amazed by this guy Danny Cole. He was able to change his clothes lickety split. Seriously I don't think it is the lighting as many people have suggested. Here is a short version of what he did. If you know how it's done, let me know.

I did find a magic book online about how he does what he does but it is written in German. So if someone would like to buy it translate, let me know.

Oh yeah and Barbara Eden as in I Dream of Jeannie was also there. How totally perfect is that?

When American Idol was on I was rooting for David Cook (even though his false modesty annoyed me to no end). For some reason David A irritated me and I wanted him to lose more than anything in the world.

So I'm not surprised that I love David's latest single "Come Back to Me". In fact I am debating about buying his whole CD or not?

But now I don't want to admit it but I sort of also love David Archeulta's new song "A Little Too Not Over You." I KNOW! What is wrong with me? I can't get this poppy tune out of my head even though it doesn't make any sense. I don't think it's even grammatically correct.

My Mother - the Wedding Planner!

I guess I was asking for it. I did tell my parents about my blog. I did post a blog sort of, kind of, about weddings below which led to my mother commenting:

We'll have fireworks too. So get busy finding the groom.

This then led to 5 e-mails from my mother on friday.

The first one contained this message and photo:

Then "Cute, cute, cute!"

Next, "Am I annoying yet?"

Yet she kept going: "Favors for your guests,"

Last but not least: "OMG! Your dad and I are having a 50th wedding ceremony. I want the beach chair theme mint tins."

So when I talked to her on the phone I said "Oh so all those e-mails were for your 50th anniversary party."

She replied, "No just the mints. The rest were for your wedding!"

Right! Run guys, don't walk!

Havaianas are the newest footwear craze. Oprah apparently loves them. But I stare at them and I stare at them. And no matter how long I stare at them, all I see are flip flops.

They are flip flops people! I don’t get what is so special about them? They don’t appear to have magical powers. Michael Jordan nor you can jump even higher in them. They are plain old flip flops that are made in Brazil, that are called a fancy Brazilian name and have a Brazilian flag on the strap.

What I also don’t get is how in all of the million-trillion weddings I’ve attended or been in through the years, I have never been to a carnival themed reception.

How have none of my friends thought to rent a ferris wheel?

How awesome is this? Maybe I just love ferris wheels because of the whole Amy / Ephram / Everwood thing. I hope this couple is as happy as Amy and Ephram are. What? In imaginary Everwood I picture Amy and Ephram living in splendid bliss.

The 4th of July is my favorite Holiday. I love fireworks. I love hotdogs. (even though I can’t eat them anymore…whatever.) I just plain love Summer. It’s the only summer holiday.

How are you celebrating?

I am going to hang out with friends and EAT! Cause that is what we do best.

In other news, I want everyone to stay cheerful and positive this 4th. I know that one Jonas brother is off the market but the other two are still totally available for all your cougar type ogling.

Not that I or you do that. Of course not!

I am totally on pins and needles for the next Harry Potter film. Two weeks! I – can’t- wait!

But we still have to wait for like 2 more films for the kiss we are all waiting for. Love this quote from Rupert Grint.

27 Dresses - Apartment Cuteness

Every Monday Hooked on Houses puts up a movie and screen caps the house. Well I know it's not a house but I love the apartment in 27 Dresses. It's so cute.

It's of course way too big to affordable in New York City but whatever.

Granted the furniture is not anything special.

But she does have a little desk area which I probably would not be able to keep as neat as she does.

I think what I reall love about the apartment is the window seat. I adore window seats. I have always wanted one! In fact I don't know what she's doing in the chair. I'd be sitting on the window seat curled up with a book.

Not a good angle to watch TV. We'd have to rearrange that.

The Battle of the Mr. Knightley's

The BBC is making an Emma mini-series. We already had two movies back in the 90’s. One starring Gwyneth Paltrow and one starring Kate Beckinsale. This one will star Romola Garai. She was in that fantastic movie Dirty Dancing Havana Nights. Oh and she was also in that film Atonement that might have been nominated for an Oscar.

But really it’s all about Mr. Knightley. Granted Emma is fun with all her matchmaking schemes and snobbery. However, Mr. Knightley is Mr. Knightley. He’s a little critical but well meaning and frankly totally dreamy. I know everyone loves Darcy but I love me some Knightley.

In the latest version he is going to be played by Johnny Lee Miller. I am thrilled that Eli Stone is going to be playing one of my favorite characters. However the rest of the Jane Austen fans are upset that this dude isn’t Knightley.

Apparently he was AMAZING in the BBC series North and South which I missed. They think Johnny Lee Miller is going to be dullsville.

Ummm Johnny Lee Miller was in a little movie called Hackers. It was awesome. He was amazing in it. I think these women totally missed out on a great viewing experience.

They all seem to think Mark Strong who was in the Kate Beckinsale version was the best Mr. Knightley. I think he was balding and had bad hair.

He should have used the hair piece he used in Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day.

Then there was Jeremy Northam who was by far the dreamiest Knightley.

I think everyone needs to give Johnny Lee Miller a shot because I love Eli Stone. The episode where Eli asks for the aneurysm back so that his brother doesn’t have to suffer had me in tears. If there was a clip I would post it. Or you could just watch the remaining four episodes of Eli Stone starting this Saturday before it’s gone forever. *tear*

I seriously can’t wait this new version of Emma to air….are they done filming yet?

I had little to no intention of watching Jada Pinkett Smith's new show Hawthorne. I think I may have rolled my eyes and said, "Another medical show? Psssh!"

But then someone informed me that Michael Vartan was on it. Then suddenly, I decided it looked like the BEST new summer show EVER.

It is now on my TIVO. It may be because I loved him in Alias. I mean who didn't love him after this scene?

Whenever friends come to visit, it seems our outings revolve around where to eat. Now that I live in LA, I tend to pick places that I've seen in TV Shows.

For example, my two good friends came to visit and since we all LOVED The OC I decided to take them to infamous Pier Diner.

It's in Redondo Beach and is really just a hole in the wall type diner. But just knowing I could've been sitting in the same seat that Ryan or Seth sat in was all worth it.

Our next stop was one that probably more for me, since my friend Danielle had never even heard of the show Daddy's Girls. Reverand Run's Daughters always ate breakfast at Tart and the food looked delicious.

Although since I'm on my special migraine diet all I could have at both places for breakfast was eggs and a fruit plate. But at Tart I fantasized about eating the Apple Pie Waffle.

Inappropriate Crushes!

There are of course those crushes on actors who just recently were allowed to legally start drinking. While you, yourself well let's just say you are now at the age where you are checking out the wine list.

But I'm talking about the crushes you have on the actors in those kiddie shows who are actually around your age or older but it just feels WRONG. Mainly because they are acting...well on a kiddie show. Maybe it was just me and my sister-in-law and we might have been a tad desperate but we dubbed the guy in the blue, “the cute one.”

Yes, it’s The Wiggles. Yes, it’s those annoying guys that sing... Although they have a new guy who's maybe cuter...

But actually I think the Kratt's brothers are kind of hot. They were on Zombooafoo When I worked for public television, I was getting something from one of the Air Ops while Zoboomafoo was on. Well for some reason in this episode Chris and Martin were in a hot tub with Zooboo. Let’s just say all the ladies in the room got really quiet and began watching the TV very very intently.

I think a sign of age is when you start fantasizing about decorating. Like when you watch a show and you’re like "I would love to have that couch!"

No teenager thinks like that.

I was watching this show on SoapNet called Being Erica and above her bed instead of a headboard she has a book case. I wish I could find a picture to show but I've scoured the internet and no one has posted it. But trust me it, is the coolest idea and totally cute.

Although, I don't know if it's the best idea to have that in a place where we get earthquakes but it's so cute it may be worth the risk.

I also love Kate Winslet’s book case in The Holiday.

Cameron Diaz’s movie room is equally awesome.

Since I can't have actual cheese I have to get my cheese in other ways. Particularly movies. Taking 5 satisfied the cheese addiction perfectly.

Two socially inept girls kidnap the boyband 5 Leo Rising (aka The Click 5). They kidnap them for a totally legit reason, of course. They need them to sing at their school so they will no longer be social pariahs. Of course the lead singer falls for one of the girl kidnappers. Because that is what ALWAYS happens.

This movie is totally every girls' fantasy. I wonder how many girls are plotting to kidnap the Jonas Brothers after watching this movie? (For the record, in case there are FBI types reading my blog, I am not.)

Ahem! Back to the movie. So the lead singer is pretty cute. He sort of looks like Jason Behr. The one dude with the blonde hair and the faux hawk looks 40ish. He must be the Chris Kirkpatrick of the group.

Overall the movie was totally adorable and I'm surprised ABC Family hasn't picked it up already.

Extreme Home Makeover - Mexico Edition

As someone who spends the majority of her time lounging on the couch watching TV, I did something out of the ordinary. I went on mission’s trip to Mexico to help build a house this past weekend.

My mom didn’t understand how we could build a house in two days. “On Extreme Home Makeover it takes two weeks,” she told me.

“Mom, we aren’t building that kind of house,” I informed her.

I am still trying to get the blue paint off my fingernails. And I don’t know why but my thumbs are sore?

If I do this next year I’m definitely working out more. Who knew hammering was such hard work? One of the contractors kept telling me in his broken English “harder, harder” as I tried with all my might to hammer the stupid nails into the wood. It made me feel totally weak.

Maybe I should get off the couch a little more.

There once was a time when a holiday like this meant I went out, maybe to a pub and sang fun Irish tunes. And maybe had a beer with some friends.

Today I got an MRI and then came home. I ate an exciting dinner consisting of brown rice and toast. Then I forgot what I watch on Tuesday nights, so I kept switching between Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.

I am a barrel of fun.

My former boss walked into our office. She had a bag of red looking balls.
“These are delicious!” She exclaimed “Try it!”
“What is it?” I asked suspiciously. I can’t eat chocolate but she doesn’t know that. I can’t tell her because she so sweetly made me a chocolate cake for my birthday. So I always pretend to take whatever she gives me.
“Just put it in your mouth!”
It was red like a cherry. I glanced nervously at my friend / coworker Chrissy and we both put it in our mouth.
“Bite down, isn’t it like heaven?” she asked.
I smiled but I didn’t bite down.
“What is it?” Chrissy asked.
“It’s a chocolate covered cherry,” she told us.
I am sure my eyes bulged to an abnormal size as I kept the chocolate in my mouth until my boss left. Chrissy handed me a napkin so I could spit the chocolate ball into it.

People always think I am crazy giving up chocolate. But as long as my migraines go away I’m fine giving up certain foods. That was until today.

I had another neurology checkup. Once again I had 18 migraines during 30 days. Once again he suggested botox since we are at the end of the road. I’m a challenge. We’ve tried almost everything.

I mentioned that I was thinking of giving up MSG. He asked if I ate a lot of frozen foods. I laughed. Then he handed me the sheet that contained what food Migraineurs should avoid. That was when I realized I am going to end up 90 pounds.

I can’t eat anything. It’s better to put what I can eat.

Fresh meat and eggs. Translation: I have to go to a butcher and get fresh meat and then cook it. I don’t cook. I can’t put anything on this meat. It has to basically be plain.

Vegetables. Hooray all the vegetables I want. Did I mention I don’t like vegetables?

A big one on the no no list is CHEESE! I LOVE CHEESE! Basically I can eat crappy American and Velveeta.

You know what else is on the no no list? PIZZA! That was when I told Chrissy, “I don’t think life is worth living!”

I found this hilarious blog via Prada Answers called F*** My Life. People share their horror stories of the day. It's really hilarious.

Today, my grandmother called. She greeted me by my mother's name. When I told her it was not my mother, she apologized and corrected herself, but this time she addressed me as my sister. When I told her it was not my sister either, she said "Sorry, wrong number" and hung up. FML

Today, I was working the register at a local grocery store. A kid about 5 years old was having trouble zipping his jacket. I reached out to help him and he started screaming "No bad touch bad touch!" and kicked me in the knee. Everyone looked. FML

Today, I got a text message. It said, "I'm so drunk. What you up to, girl?" It was my dad. FML

As for my own:
We were recently discussing my cousin’s upcoming nuptials. My brother turned to his wife and said, “Well I’d really like to attend his wedding because this is the last family wedding unless our cousin Michael gets married.”

I glared at my brother. “You do remember that both Mandi and I aren’t married yet either?”

My brother gave me a blank stare. FML

My Favorite Night

My Perfect Valentine

One can argue that there is no perfect man. If I was to create him, I'm sure there are some people who would not agree that he is perfect. That is okay though, because he would be darn near perfect for me.

Okay technically I know Destiny's Child was talking about an annoying guy's over persistence but seriously I think I'm ready to throw my computer out the window.

I've had many suggestions to buy a Mac, which is so what I'm going to do just as soon as that bunch of cash falls into my lap. Seriously, though I do want one I just can't afford it at the moment.

After I went to Best Buy to talk to my good friends at the Geek Squad (who I secretly loathe but have to be nice to because I want them to fix my computer) I discovered they couldn't do anything to help me either. Yeah, you heard me right. The SO NOT CHUCK GUY he might as well have been a poor man's Lester informed that we would have to wipe out my hard drive. Which means that I would lose ALL of my programs. Isn't that just swell and dandy? He wanted me to do it. Ummm hello, I paid serious cash for a warranty for them to fix these problems. Needless to say it has not been fixed since I haven't had time to go back with the disk so they can reformat my hard drive. I basically yelled at him and then tried to cover my explaining my bad luck with computers so he wouldn't like torch my new computer when I came back.

But I wasn't as calm when I called my dad. I believe these were my exact words, "I'm so sick and tired of this &#%*. My next computer is going to be a #@%&ing Mac."

Then my dad replied, "What? Who is this?" I might've been screaming and crying at the same time.

Today at my acupuncture appointment my acupuncturist looked at my tongue and checked my pulse and asked, "What are you so anxious about?"

My reaction was a total deer in the headlights stare as a million things began racing through my mind. Finally I just replied, "Life!"

You may have been wondering where I've been. Or maybe it was just Bianca.

So you know how I'm on my THIRD BRAND NEW COMPUTER. Well it didn't get hit by lighting but it did kind of explode. Last wednesday I turned it on and it gave me an error message. Fine, it has Windows Vista on it. Windows Vista is a pain in the you know what. I don't care what those commercials try to trick you into believing.

It wanted to restore something. I was like "sure whatever." My second computer did this all the time in the 15 days I had it and this was the first time it happened so I wasn't worried. But then when it finally booted up something was missing. Well actually a bunch of stuff was missing.

A BUNCH OF PROGRAMS WERE MISSING. LIKE MY ANTI VIRUS! I tried not to freak out. Okay that's a total lie. I believe I called my dad in a total state of complete panic. Because one of the programs missing was Final Draft. Which they only let you download on to 2 computers. One was stolen and one had died. They had graciously given me another password thing or whatever to load onto this one. I mean are they going to believe me about all of this so soon after?

My dad calmed me down and said he could send me the anti-virus software over the internet. That's when I realized my internet DIDN'T WORK!

I finally had some time today to call about my internet and they could not help me get it to work. They are now sending me a new modem. Unfortunately I don't think that's the problem. I am at the library and tried testing out their free wifi and it still did not work.

SERIOUSLY WHY ME?

Black Eyed Peas

Let’s just say that last year was not the greatest year for me. Granted nothing terribly tragic happened. However, the bad luck just kept falling on me.

In order to make sure 2009 is a better year I ate some black eyed peas on New Year’s Day.

Have you heard of that? Well it’s supposedly for good luck and prosperity or something like that.

I haven’t noticed anything yet.

But I have high hopes.

I expect to win the lottery. Get a condo on the beach. Pay off my car. Not worry that my health care went up $88 this year.

If I don’t win the lottery then I expect to get a job where I can actually afford all my new bills.

But I’d prefer if a ton of money would just fall into my lap.

My Most Expensive Disneyland Trip EVER!

I went to Disneyland with my friends Jen and Karolyn yesterday. Want to know what the first ride I rode was? An Ambulance! Yes, I took an ambulance to the Emergency room from the Happiest Place on Earth.

It all started at 7am when I was getting ready to go to Disneyland and I started involuntarily curling my toes. I thought I was just cold since our apartment is freezing. I stupidly drove to my friends house. But once we began walking into the park the toe curling got worse and my foot began spasming to where I began to limp. Jen being a sports trainer had me do some stretching which didn't really help.

As it got worse and worse Karolyn then got on her phone and called her doctor friend. I ran through the list of medication I had taken the day before and he found the culprit. Compazine which I had taken for nausea since I had a migraine. I had never taken it before and I will never take it again. He suggested taking Benadryl. My friends rushed off to first aid to get me Benadryl. Only it didn't work quickly enough and both my legs started spasming to where I could no longer even limp walk. I don't think I've ever been so scared. Imagine telling your limbs to do something and they will not cooperate.

So at the infirmary Nurse Bonnie (we became good friends) finally decided it was time to call the paramedics who came and got me. It was like the cavalry. Although they did not run the siren. So at the ER I got more benadryl and a nice shot for my migraine which I still had from the day before. It's nice that they were thorough.

Finally I could walk again and they released me. The nicest part is that Disney security came and picked me up. Seriously they are so great! So I got to actually go back to the park and ride a few rides before we left. I actually made it back just in time for the parade. I got to see the backstage area with all the parade stuff since security took me through the backlot. I'm guessing it was to make up for missing half my day at Disney.

And I finally got to eat a corn dog since I hadn't eaten all day long. Have you ever had a Disneyland corn dog? They are the best!

I got my computer back from being “fixed” and I turned it on and …nothing. I showed the other totally not Chuck either tech guy and he looked confused and took it in the back room. Then he came back out looking quite stressed.
“I think we might have to send it back,” he told me.
I tried very hard to control my inner rage. “The computer is 15 days old. I don’t understand why it is causing all these problems!”
“Umm..hold on!” He leaves again.
I sighed. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, the guy comes back with two other guys. They inform me that the original not Chuck dude should’ve given me a replacement computer, which is what they are going to do. Problem is they sold the last version of my computer so I had to pick up a new one.
Do you know how long it took for me to choose my computer?
I actually had chosen a different computer. But there were problems with my order so I cancelled it and got the Dell which went belly up.
So basically my luck with computers SUCKS!
I had a mind melt in the store and asked if I could come back in a few days to pick out the replacement. Translation – I got my dad to help me decide what to pick out.
I am typing on my brand new computer right now. At any moment I expect lightening to crash down and fry it.

So my brand new 15 day old computer DIED! Yes. I turned it on. It attempted to boot up. It froze at the 75% booting up point. Then the screen flickered. The computer then laughed at me. Actually I think it was more of a cackle. Yes, it cackled. The screen flickered some more and then it just went BLACK!

This is when I praise God that I spent the extra money on the insurance or whatever. Cause I just took it to the non- Zachary Levi looking Nerd Herders or whatever and they are going to send it back the company. I think the company should just send me a new computer since they sold me a freaking LEMON. But whatever. I decided not to go off on the not-Chuck guy who totally did not seem like he knew what he was doing since he thought all my computer needed was a new bulb.

I was like "UMMMM.... NO, I realize that my screen is black. But if it was working you would realize that it would not boot up at all. So really there are a lot more problems with this computer than it needing a bulb."

Then he informed me that I will get my computer back in 2 weeks or so. He said it could take longer.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Off to watch Chuck. Dixion is on it tonight! Watching other people beat up people always makes me feel slightly better. Plus Chuck is so darn adorable.

Black Cloud

You ever feel like Eeyore? I do. I feel like a black cloud is following me around just pouring rain on me. I mean I realize things could be worse so I should be thankful for what I have. But seriously, what is up with my luck?

I am missing three shirts randomly? I can’t find them. One is totally my favorite shirt. It’s like my laundry ate them. I’ve looked every where? I swear I saw one a few days ago and now it’s mysteriously gone. I think there is a laundry thief. I swear if I see a neighbor wearing my shirt we are going to throw down.

Our TIVO broke. I hadn’t finished watching all my shows yet. And Survivor sounds like it was the best one EVER. So we are getting a new one and I will never get to see the stuff I missed. WAAH!

I can’t find my laundry room key. Again it’s like my room is eating stuff. I’ve looked every where.

Days of Our Lives fired Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestan due to budgetary reasons. It is officially the beginning of the end of soap operas. They are Days Royalty. Not to mention Days was only renewed for 18 months.

We got our new TIVO today only it isn’t a TIVO it’s a DVR. And yes there is a difference I don’t care what my dad says. So I had to call and schedule to get a recovery kit for the DVR and get an actual TIVO.

My brand new computer is causing me problems. I am so glad I got a warranty. Twice now I’ve had to remove some programs when I boot up because it won’t work? I don’t know what the deal is. I loaded Office 2003 and ever since then it’s been acting all sorts of crazy.

Did I mention they cancelled 3 of my favorite television shows? If they cancel Chuck I might as well just give up TV.

Have you heard? Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money have been cancelled. I'm in mourning!

Chuck has me thinking that it’s quite possible that most of my friends are actually covert spies. I mean Sarah’s High School enemy was a spy and now Chuck’s ex girlfriend is a spy. What is up? Seriously? My friend Kara did just go to Europe and I have yet to see actual pictures from the trip? Hmmm it could be because she is doctoring up some fake ones to show us. Plus she’s an engineer. An engineer of what exactly? A pretty convincing cover, I’d say.

Heroes needs to get their whole new book kick started. I’m sick of the Villians. I could care less about 10 year old Hiro or about Parkman falling for Speedy Daphne. Oh and then this whole Sylar and Elle thing is RIDONCULOUS. One minute she hates him the next minute she looks like she wants to stick her tongue down his throat. But whatever, I’m going with it purely because their future little kid was cute. But she’s totally going to die cause she’s in the new movie Couple’s Retreat.

Oh Chad…don’t quit your day job. The 1940’s film noir One Tree Hill episode was totally and completely pointless. Except all the weirdo fans that want a Haley and Dan hook up got a kiss. Plus all the ones that hate Peyton got to see her die. Other than that it was just a chance for them to play dress up and spend a lot of money on sets. Oh but the real Peyton did collapse at the end clutching her stomach? Hmmmm…

I do enjoy a Gossip Girl Thanksgiving episode for some reason. Although I hate Aaron. I liked him in the book. Maybe it’s because he had dreadlocks in the book? Where are his dreadlocks? And is Nate the most fickle guy on the planet. “Well Jenny hasn’t talked to me in awhile so I guess I can get back together with you Vanessa.” WHAT? And why was Serena’s mom in a sanitarium? Cause she went nuts after having Rufus’s baby? You so know that is exactly where they are going.

How adorable are Ned’s brother’s on Pushing Daisies? The eyebrow resemblance is uncanny. I still can't believe it's been cancelled. It’s fantastical. Those CSI guys can’t talk to their dead people. Although his gift didn’t really help solve this weeks case since all of the dead things were animals.

I guess you can’t stay happily married on a show called Dirty Sexy Money. I’m so annoyed with Lisa. Well Lisa and Nick. They are both supposed to be the moral centers and they have lost their moral centers. Lisa is hooking up with Jeremy. He’s cute but hello you are married to Nick. Meanwhile Nick kisses random chick. What was the point of that?

Eli Stone is one of my favorite shows. I can’t believe more people don’t watch this show. It always leaves me with warm fuzzies after watching an episode. Well actually this past episode was more of a cliff hanger. But usually it leaves me with warm fuzzies. I’m guessing Eli isn’t supposed to help that kid become emancipated from his father. But I’m actually more interested in what Keith is going to tell Loretta Devine’s about her daughter using drugs? I feel like this was a Boston Legal episode. Oh it was! Mark Valley's character dated his boss's daughter and she was a user.

Stephanie’s Handy Dandy Theft Tips!

Things I’ve learned by being robbed. You should know all your stuff’s serial numbers. That is really the only way the cops can get your stuff back. Here are my handy tips:

1. Take pictures / videos of all your stuff.
2. Write down all your serial numbers of your stuff.
3. Put all this information online or send it to a family member / friend.
4. And this should be obvious but I guess I didn’t expect somebody to break in and rummage through my closet and find this stuff. But you should lock up your personal info like your SSN and Bank Account Info. Or better yet black it out if it’s something you need to keep like tax information.
5. GET RENTERS INSURANCE!! It’s not that expensive.

I'm still without a computer. I've ordered my new one. Just waiting for it to be delievered to my aunt at her secure location.

My roommate the other day asked "Hey can I use your computer? I left mine at work." This caused me to fake stab my heart. Yes, it still hurts!

My paranoia is completely on the rise. I carry my pepper spray everywhere now. I even had it out at church. But apparently paranoia is on the rise with lots of people. At least I'm not alone.... Yippee for irrational fears.

I'm still behind on my TV. So far this week I've only seen Chuck and half of Heroes. And then I fell asleep during Boston Legal.

But I did see the new Bond movie Quantum of Solace. (Before all you Americans! Boo-ya!) Super action packed. I love roof top chase scenes. But you do have to see Casino Royale which I didn't see; so I kept going "Who the heck is Vespa? And why is he so broken up about this chick? Dude you're Bond, move on already!"

Alright I'm going to go now since McCreepy is here at the library... told you he is here everyday!

Like I said I'm paranoid. Now where is my pepper spray.

I hate going home after work now. Every time I walk up to my apartment I have this crazy mixture of fear, sadness and complete rage. I don't know if this is how most people feel after they've had their home broken into or if it's just me?

We are lucky that we weren't there. But mostly I'm enraged that they stole my laptop and my back up flash drive. You know how everyone tells you to back up your work. What they don't tell you is that some scum sucking thieves are going to steal your back up. (Which you thought you cleverly hid in a teacup!)

My stories, my scripts, my life...gone...

Oh sure they are in my head. I'm sure I have notes for some. But that doesn't change the fact that I want to take a baseball bat to whoever did it's head.

If they are reading this (which you could be since you STOLE MY LAPTOP), I'm after your ass! I watched Veronica Mars bitches. You may have worn gloves as you pilfered through my closet and underwear drawer causing me to wash everything your dirty butt touched. And the cops may have more important cases to solve. But you messed with the wrong chick.

Catching Up

Desperate Housewives got deleted. I am losing the duel I am playing with my TIVO. I have decided that in addition to the shows I’ve already given up this season (Prison Break, Sarah Connor, and Grey’s Anatomy), I’m also giving up some new shows, My Own Worst Enemy, Kath and Kim, and Life on Mars.

Characters on shows I’d like to give up? How about Randy on Survivor? Crystal said it best, “He’s a troll under the bridge.” I seriously hate him. He is a sore winner. I just wanted to push that fruit tart in his face when his team won…again.

Someone is going to die on Gossip Girl and I’m leaning towards Vanessa. She is so boring. Chuck can’t even make her exciting. If you had told me I was going to love the character of Chuck as much as I do after the first episode I never would have believed you. I am so happy he turned the tables on Blair.

Could Olivia Dunham be anymore BORING on Fringe? She is the main character and yet she makes me yawn? Maybe a red wig might help? I keep watching for Pacey and his dad. They crack me up.

The Ex-List is cute. The extra roommate friend is a little useless but the show is cute. I adore Rachel Boston who plays her sister. I’d like her to be on it more than the blonde friend. I love watching it purely to see who is going to be her ex boyfriend of the week.

There isn’t a character on The Office, I’d give up more like a storyline. Can Pam come back to Scranton already? I miss her. I do love the addition of Holly though. Her and Michael’s hook up is genius. They are so cute yet disgusting. Although it looks like it won’t last.

I always felt like I was the only person that liked Mouth on One Tree Hill. Then he went to Omaha and I didn’t miss him. Now he’s back with Millie and I find myself hoping they don’t take too much time away from Haley and Nathan. Although his storyline does look promising since Gigi is back. She is too adorable and hilarious. But the best part was when Haley pushed her son's bully's mom and called her that not so nice name.

I will never catch up on my TV. I am seriously stressing out about when I will catch up with all my TV. My TIVO is starting delete my shows.

I still have not seen this week’s Desperate Housewives, Heroes, My Own Worst Enemy, One Tree Hill, Fringe and Gossip Girl. Not to mention I still haven’t seen last week’s Kath and Kim, My Name is Earl and Life on Mars.

I am super excited that Eli Stone is back on. Love it! The season premiere made me cry. Eli asking for the tumor back so his brother wouldn’t have to suffer with it. Katie Holmes episode was not as fabulous. It was cute but seriously the big secret was that she has a heart condition?

Chuck is so awesome. Who knew Nicole Ritchie could act and kick butt? I also loved that Ben Savage thought Chuck was “Mad Dog” and was the one saving him. Casey was adorable as the DJ rocking to MMMMBop.

I still love Privileged. As cute as Will is, I am so in love with Charlie. If Megan would’ve just dated Charlie to begin with she would’ve never had to put up with Mr. Cheater Jacob.

Now I’m off to watch Dirty Sexy Money. SCANDALOUS!

Here is a sampling of today’s work chit chat between my coworker Chrissy and me. This could be why our other coworker immediately puts his headphones in the minute we arrive.

Chrissy: Galen Gering starts in November and he is going to be Sami’s FBI agent on Days of Our Lives.
Me: Is he going to be shirtless?
Chrissy: I didn’t read that.
Me: Is he going to be in any scenes with James Scott?
Chrissy: He should be in a scene with James Scott and Eric Martsoff.
Me: It should be a scene with Galen Gering, James Scott, Eric Martsoff and Jay Kenneth Johnson.
Chrissy: And they should all be shirtless.
Me: My TV would melt.

Me: (I squint my eyes and scrunch my face ala Hiro on Heroes)

They've got the right stuff!

Nineteen years ago I went to my first concert. I went with my mom, my two friends and their moms. We sat so high up in the stadium we had to use binoculars to see. But I didn’t care because I was at The New Kids on the Block.

The minute I heard they were reuniting, let’s just say I was more than a little thrilled. I was on pins and needles waiting until there was a concert in my area. I couldn’t wait to go. The day finally arrived. And the Beantown Posse didn’t disappoint. It was the best concert EVER.

It was similar and yet different than the concert I went to nineteen years ago. Of course the age of the attendees has changed; twenty to thirty year old women instead of young girls. The guys did wear some of the same clothing they wore in their original concerts.

What I do not remember is multiple crotch shots of Donnie. Oh yeah the camera man loved to aim the camera there. This caused the girl behind us to scream, “I want to have sex with you Donnie!”

Joey also did not use the F-word back in the day like he did as this concert. I guess he figured it was all good being as we were adults now.

They did sing about five of their new songs which I didn’t actually mind. But of course I really loved when they sang all the old stuff because I could actually sing along. They even had us sing the “steps” for Step by Step. I actually think this is because Jonathan did not want to sing his solo. I am seriously amazed that they were able to talk the poor guy into even going on tour. But he did do a little booty dance at one point. Other than that he let the other boys be the mic and camera hogs.

But one of the best parts of the whole night was when Jordan recreated his fabulous shirtless, “Baby I Believe in You” serenade.

Tomorrow is the NKOTB concert! I'm hoping they sing more oldies since I'm not really fond of the new stuff. *sigh*
